Drama Camp

Alison and Chase got to be in the musical Annie that our sweet friends put on in their backyard. This is a massive two week effort, combining the talents of 3 amazing women, several teen helpers, a cast of kids, and parents who fulfill the vision that the directors have for the program.


Chase is pictured here in the back, next to the boy standing, dressed as a dog. They wrote in a dog catchers scene because so many of the boys tried out for the part of Sandy the dog.


Alison played the part of Molly who is one of the main orphan girls. She even got to sing a solo with Annie.


Here are all the orphans after cleaning the orphanage.


This is Chase in his servant costume, with the dog hat. What a fun experience!

Car Show Pictures

Family fun for us is looking at cars. We had to check out this local car show. Here are the kids in front of one of Ryan's favorites.


Alison saw this mini car and imagined her American girl doll riding with her in it.

Fun Fourth of July

Our family had a nice visit at Nana and Papa's place over Fourth of July. Nana was so gracious to allow us to come despite having just gone through knee surgery. We all just had a party on her bed!

Fun in the Sun Saturday

Today was the last day of t-ball. The Yellow Jackets on Evan's team did a great job! We loved Coach David's enthusiasm!


Daddy spent time helping Evan learn to play.

I Love My Flowers

Our family worked together on Monday to put these annuals into some pots that are at our front door entry. They make me feel happy, just looking at them! Every day that Ryan has come home from work this week he has commented on how much he likes these flowers. They smell good, they seem like summer. Summer has taken a long time to come to Oregon this year, but it has finally arrived, and we couldn't be happier to see the sunshine!

Talent Show

Here we are on stage at our church's talent show. The kids all dressed up as police officers and did a skit. Ryan and I were the bad guys and the kids were the cops. The theme song to COPS played in the background as we all acted out a scene where some cops arrest the bad guys, taking time to munch on a donut or two in between!


Ryan did a great job of putting together these costumes for all of us. This was something that we'll remember for a long time!
